Gene Earls / Graduation Specialist :Born in Gainesville, a. Grew up in the Newtown Community.Mr. Earls is a 1983 graduate of Gainesville High School where he was a standout athlete on the football and track team. Mr. Earls played on the last GHS football team to make it to the State Championship in 1982. Mr. Earls won 6 Region Championships in track in the events of 100m High Hurdles and the 300m  Hurdles and has held the GHS school record in the 300m Hurdles since 1983.Gene made two appearance in the Georgia Olympics, placing 4th in the state in the 300 hurdle event in 1983. After being honored in Who's Who In American High School Athletes, Mr. Earls signed a football scholarship with Savannah State University and was a Pre Season All SIAC selection in 1987. After graduating from SSU in 1988 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Mr. Earls worked for the Chatham Co. Sheriff's Dept., Savannah Police Dept., and the City Of Atlanta Police Dept. where he worked primarily as a RED DOG Task Force officer focusing on drug and gang enforcement. Mr. Earls is also a Personal Trainer and a former NPC and SNBF Bodybuilder. Mr. Earls was the State of Georgia Law Enforcement Bodybuilding Champion in 2002 and has won many other bodybuilding shows. Mr. Earls was featured in Flex Magazine in Jan. 2002. Mr. Earls returned to Gainesville High School in 2003 and has assisted on the football and track coaching staff and GHS and GMS.Mr. Earls is a member of the Ruff Ryders Atlanta Motorcycle Club and works many charity functions. Mr. Earls is married to Keefa Earls and has a son named Eszaunie who is 18 months old. Mr. Earls resides in Lilburn, Ga.
